LGBTQ Activism
I have worked for numerous LGBTQ organizations. Some of the highlights are below.
Competitive Insurance Benefits for All

I founded a statewide organization of students to lobby the Texas legislature for Competitive Insurance Benefits for University of Texas and Texas A&M system faculty and staff. While the initial effort was unsuccessful, the network proved to be useful in defeating discriminatory amendments to ban gender and sexuality centers from public universities in Texas on the budget by a lawmaker via distributed lobbying. Queer Texas ConferenceAs QSA Vice-Director I planned the Queer Texas Conference. I created the logo, the bulletin, and we had T-shirts. I advertised the conference and had 19 workshops and brought in a keynote speaker with attendees from all over the state. The conference bulletin is below.
